School Transport allocation for September 2025

West Sussex County Council fund school transport for students in Years 7-11, who live over 3 miles from the school site to which they attend, and whose address is within the catchment area.  Students will be notified of any new service or change in allocation by mid-August 2025.

  • Sixth Form students need to contact their designated council to see if they qualify for post 16 support.
  • Students who have an address outside of West Sussex must apply to their own local authority, this includes students who live in Smallfield, Horley, Dormansland and Lingfield.

Please be aware it is at each Council’s discretion to allocate assisted or free transport.

YEAR 8

Our Year 8 Boys cricket team have had four matches this season and have gone from strength to strength.

We opened our season against Worth School in a friendly and used it as an opportunity to use the squad so that most had a turn at bowling, batting or both. With this in mind, we only lost by 30 runs. Wicks top scored on 21 runs with the bat and Watkins got two wickets.

The second match was against Warden Park in the state school county cup. Again, we lost, with 4 overs to spare, but this was mostly due to wayward bowling figures (wides). Top batsman was Duvall with 14 runs and with Kellas and Hollyoak getting a wicket each.

Our third match against Oathall gave us our first victory of the season in the quarter finals of the district cup. Some excellent bowling and batting from the team meant that we won by two runs with two overs to spare. Wicks finished on 41 runs getting out right at the end when we only need a couple of runs to win. Ross got two wickets to finish as top bowler in the match.

Match number four, also gave us a victory, this time against Sackville in the district cup semi final. Again, the team bowled and batted well to ensure that we won by 95 runs to 59. Top batting scores came from Lavender (17), Wicks (16) and Kellas (14). Bowling wise, Philp grabbed four wickets and Wicks with three. Wicks also took the man of them match award.

We look forward to playing our district cup final before the end of term.

Well done boys!
